Yellow Jackets can be a real pain, figuratively and literally. They are known for their ability to repeatedly sting you but did you know they also bite? The foragers out and about are usually not a problem unless you begin swatting at them or unsuspectingly take a drink from your soda can that one has ventured into. OUCH!
It is however being around the nest that will turn these beneficial creatures into aggressive attackers. Great care should be taken anytime you’re dealing with a jackets nest. They are often confused or mislabeled as bees and that can be a costly mistake. Please consider calling in a professional anytime you come across a stinging pests nest. It’s the safer thing to do and well worth the money. I ran into a small nest the other day and in this video I’ll give you a couple of tips of how I handle it.
