The Reticular Activating System Guarantees Pest Control Sales

What would you pay for a system that automatically brought your companies name up first in the mind of a potential customer? Imagine, if every time the need arises or a chance for a referral comes about– Sha-zam- (your name here) is the first thought or words and before you know it the phone rings and you’ve got yourself a brand new customer. Wait- There’s more! What if I told you it works every time? That it can cost as little as a cup of coffee and that it only requires a small bit of maintenance to give you years and years of 100% guaranteed results? How much would you be willing to pay for this centuries old tried and true selling system?

Would you be shocked if I told you that the largest companies in the world use this system spending millions of dollars annually? Of course not and they’re constantly looking to spend even more because no other system works so well. But would you be interested to know that even the single operator and Mom & Pops can use this same exact system as the big boys for next to nothing with just as impressive results?

Introducing The RAS System

RAS (Reticular Activating Systems) is that part of a customer/potential clients brain that when triggered by a stimulus (that you provide) sends Your Information to the fore front of a persons mind. This increases the likelihood that You’ll be the first and most often Only pest control company that person calls. You see, the RAS gathers all sorts of information for that client and weeds out the trivial, disregards the weak and when called upon sends to the top the most powerful and memorable. It is in short, the switch board of the mind and if your message gets called up– You’re In!

What Others Say About RAS

RAS is so simple to operate that I don’t want you to take our word for it; read what the smart people say!

RAS generates all autonomic responses, including all emotions, response-impulses,and in the healthy brain, all psychopathologies. RAS thus interprets the world to us, and triggers our responses. Those with unexamined, anarchic Love/Belief Systems are on autopilot―not living, but being lived by the Reticular Activating System.

We are living in a post-hypnotic trance
induced in early infancy.
R. D. Laing

Can it be any easier? Simply by feeding the RAS system of your client/potential client with your clear and concise message you assure yourself of always coming out on top.

What’s The Secret Of RAS & How Can I Use It?

For the purposes of pest control and being #1 in a clients mind this is one of the best ways to activate the RAS that I’ve found. Maybe you have another that you’re willing to tell us about. It’s often called a Tag Line, Motto,Elevator Pitch or Slogan but I like to think of it best as the Memory Hook! It is a simple, short, memorable phrase or statement in which your company is identified and your hook is planted in the mind of that person. This is nothing new whatsoever & some famous ‘memory hooks’ have lasted for decades.

When I say; “Like a good neighbor________ is there.” You instantly know what company name to insert don’t you? What if I say; “What’s in your wallet?” Again, you know just who I’m speaking of and indeed, whenever a situation arises where you have credit card or insurance issues it is most likely these two companies that will have the leading edge in your mind for the competition of your business.

If you’ll notice, neither hook is of great length, is not complicated but still very powerful. About the only thing you could add would be a call to action by saying “call, give us a try, use our…” These are short little directions that spur your client to the next step and is something you should consider. It needs to be short and to the point at all times so if you run on too long– you & your client will never hook up.

Memory hooks can change over time so don’t feel like you have to choose the perfect one for life. My hook is– Hi I’m Jerry Schappert, The Bug Doctor–Where All My Patients Die. Another one I’ve used is “we make house calls.” Both do what I need them to do and that is stick in the mind of a client/potential client and when the conversation turns to pest control- the RAS in that person reaches in and grabs my hook and brings it forth for all the world to see.

Do you see why this is so powerful and why the largest companies in the world bank on your RAS system? It’s proven to work everyday in every single person in the world and it never fails. Get your message embedded in the RAS system of as many people as you can and you my friend, will have your phone ringing off the……

Memory Hook’s are fun, but unless you have the means to get it out to the public over and over again I don’t think its such a big deal. Statefarms Memory Hook is memorable only because of their constant barrage of commercials. Otherwise its out of sight (or hearing) out of mind.

  • Call a Pro… Call the Best. PROBEST! But I agree with Stuto1, the average user must see or hear the names 17 times to recall it.

    New Memory Hook.

“Some say they are the Best Pest Professional every.”

  • You guys must be using the wrong hooks! When I was in sales we had an old pro salesman who lived and died by the motto, “Be Memorable.” He once said he went to a call that the lady had 5 other company bids on the table and he was the last guy– She of course wanted to think about it and would call the winning bidder. To be true to his credo, when he left- Half way down the walkway he picked up a rock and busted out a window.

I read a recent study which stated “Google changes how memory is stored”. Its basically stating people are less likely to memorize information but rather remember where and how to find the information. They do not have to memorize anything when they can simply use a search engine to look it up. If it’s true, next your competitors will not only use your company’s name in their adword/keywords. They’ll also use your slogan in their adwords/keywords to steal your business.

  • Read that same thing & I agree. Bad news is, web gurus have already figured that little trick out. Quite the bummer when the competition ranks higher for your domain name than you do…
